Miss Teen Commonwealth finalist aims high where Eagles soar

Zanele Ngcobo has decided to pursue her dream in modelling and broaden her horizons in the Information and Communication Technology industry. But that tough decision means she has to tackle both modelling and being a student at the same time.

Everyone’s best friend , ever humble, she has all genuine personality that shines as broad and bright as her smile. Born and raised in Meadowlands zone 3, Soweto, Witswatersrands University student Zanele explains on a chilly winter day how miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa inspired her journey .
”I entered with the intention of growing as a person. The pageant teaches us so much with regard to ideas about bringing wealth to the community. It cares so much for charity organizations. I also decided to contest because I wanted to be a beacon of hope and help bring the wealth to my community,”added Zanele.

The primary, and most obvious, stake in the contest will be the grand finale and being the Ambassador of Miss teen Commonwealth South-Africa . Each day, she makes it a point to count her blessings and remember that she represents Soweto in all aspects. “Growing up as a teenager was really a roller-coaster. I grew up surrounded by powerful women who I believe helped shape the person that I am today. My mother always reminds me that everything is a journey and keeping faith alive is key”. Added Zanele.

Soweto Sunrise News asked her what keeps her going, 19 year old Zanele said success is not earned by practice alone, but generated through working smart intelligently and an inner desire to be successful. “My biggest highlight would be attaining the Miss Teen Soweto crown.” Concluded Zanele.

The glittering grand finale which will be done virtually, is scheduled for August 2020. For interactions and to follow her community work people can visit her social networking sites, Facebook: Zanele Ngcobo or Instagram:zanele_gold_ngcobo
