With less than two months to go before the crowning of Miss Prime SA 2020, the Soweto born beauty queen, Linda Zwane, is putting the final touches to her preparation and says she is ready to embark on the new journey. Linda remains among the predicted favourites to win the Miss Prime SA crown despite stiff competition from her counterparts.
The pageant empowers women with the knowledge to bring about change to communities in need. “I never lose pageants; I learn gracefully and find no disappointment in not getting the crown because for me it’s learning as much as I can for the duration of my journey as a finalist and growing myself as a brand.”
The contest is made up of three stages of contest, with rounds of semi-finals and grand finale. The contestants need to earn points to proceed to the top levels. Soweto Sunrise news caught up with Linda ahead of her departure for Mahikeng. A first-year Richfield graduate Institute student hopes to walk away with the crown when she will be representing Gauteng at the grand finale to be held on September 26, Mmabatho Palms place in Mahikeng Northwest.
A fearless young woman, unapologetic and dauntless to achieve the best. She has faced so many challenges that led her to being who’s she is today, an empowered Linda. “My message to all aspiring beauty queens is that, “do not be afraid to take the leap of faith and tell your story. You don’t know whose life you might touch by simply relating your story. We all can not change our past but we can rewrite our own narrative.”
