On Thursday, 17 December 2020 the Station Community Policing Forum Executive together with the Station Operational Advisor Major General Anna Mateisi, Station Commander Brigadier Reckson Shiburi and the management held a strategic session at Moroka SAPS.
The role of CPF in the station is to close the gap between the community and the police through partnership structures that are recognized.
The purpose of the session was to discuss problematic crimes, hotspots and plans on how to keep the community of Moroka safe during the Festive Season.
Car Hijackings is one of the problematic crimes in all the sectors. CPF together with the station management appeal to the drivers not to park their vehicles on the pavement at night and not to drink and drive.
Gender Base Violence was also discussed and awareness campaigns will be conducted together with the police to educate and eradicate such crimes.
All parks, bottle stores and taverns will be visited during the festive season to check compliance.
CPF Chairperson Mr Lucky Mbonami appeals to the community to adhere to level 1 COVID 19 regulation and curfew.
