Youth Ideas Development in conjunction with the Citi Foundation are once again calling on the youth of South Africa, spread across the provinces and metropolis of Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, aged between 18 and 30 years old, who are interested in the textiles industry sector to participate in their YID-Textiles training development and internship program accredited with the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing SETA.
Earlier this year this newspaper reported about a youth intake of YID-Tech, that program according to its project manager Mr Tumelo Dichabe is reportedly yielding positive results close to its finality in December 2020 with promising prospects of; further business venture development for its top 15 business winners; and continuing employment opportunities for its 17 runner-ups to 2021 after the current mentorship and work internships respectively.
YID-Textiles is a scheduled 12 months program for development of business-minded youth with technical skills within the textiles sector in pattern making, cutting and machining to be textiles specialist.
