Day of offence

Scores of offenders queue up in the evening at the Dobsonville Police station to pay fines for various offences for breaking the Covid-19 lockdown regulations, in other cases some have been found to conduct business without proper permits. Thousands of rands have thus far been collected from law-breakers in various operations including roadblocks by security forces across Gauteng in clamping down those who find themselves on the other side of the law. However, the main intention of the regulation is to save lives and flatten the curve of Covid-19 infections.
